About Plaza USA
What this collection covers and how to use it.
Cities through their shared places
Plaza USA publishes articles about American neighborhoods, public squares, markets, buildings and routes. The collection connects a place’s physical features with its history and present uses. It covers selected cities rather than offering a complete directory of the United States.
Reading and checking
Articles include links to public agencies, museums, site operators and other sources used for the subject. Historical information and current visiting arrangements serve different purposes. Consult the linked operator for opening, admission, accessibility and temporary changes before making a journey.
Photographs and interpretation
Main images show the named places or objects described in their captions. Historic views are identified where used. Images that require attribution carry their source and license. The articles do not claim firsthand visits or represent the organizations they describe.
